Windows Phone Mango

Today, Microsoft gave a first look at Windows Phone Mango. This is expected to be the code name for Windows Phone 7.1, which is supposed to be released to most WP7 devices this fall. It is not a major update, however, Microsoft filled in some holes in the OS, which previously drew criticism to WP7.

Microsoft added a "multitasking" type app switcher to the OS. It's still not true multitasking, but it seems to work pretty well. Not the most substantial update, but definitely a step in the right direction for Windows Phone.
