Today, Skype has finally fixed a major security flaw in their software. This has been potentially dangerous for Mac users who use Skype (Windows and Linux users are safe), this flaw allows someone to gain complete access to one's computer by merely sending a chat message. Of course, it would take a skilled hacker. Still, this is rather concerning, since millions of people all over the world use Skype almost everyday. Fear not, there is a fix, which is the new Skype 5.1.0.992. This update fixes this security issue. Skype is continuing to work on protecting their users. Good to hear since most of us value our technology very heavily these days.
