Apple Has Big Plans This Sunday

The 10th Anniversary for the Apple retail store happened last Thursday, May 19th, 2001 And Apple has big plans. Apple is closing the curtains tonight at each retail shop and will open them and release "Apple store 2.0." “There’s an overnight shift planned for around 10-15 individuals at each Apple Store to work from late Saturday all the way through mid-Sunday.”

Rumors are speculating we might see new products like the iPhone 4s or a tricked out iPad 2. Most people think the Apple stores are getting a full makeover to the stores which include:

  • “Apple Store 2.0” will have an expanded bar area where they help users set up their iPads/iPhones This area will be called “Startup Sessions”.
  • The paper signage next to products on display (for example, next to the iMac at an Apple Store currently is a little paper card in plastic that says “iMac”, and probably some pricing information) will be replaced, store wide, by iPads that can be interacted with.
  • Apple Stores will feature new displays, along with a “beefed-up audio system”.
  • Apple will release an Apple Store app for iOS that will help users navigate their local Apple Store via iOS device.
  • It’s also being speculated that the new design for the store will make the iPad, not the Mac computers, the focus of the Apple Store.

  • Will these Rumors come out as true? We will have to wait and see tomorrow..... (if the world doesn't end) Just kidding
