Alfred is a unique, utility application for your mac. It can be found in the Mac App Store for the low price of Free, and in my opinion, is well worth downloading. Alfred does the job that spotlight does, but way better. The application can be activated by the keyboard shortcut of your choice, and is extremely fast at doing its job. You can search for any application or file on your mac, as well as make commands. For example, if you type "define" and the word that you want to be defined, it will automatically open the Dictionary app and define the word for you. I've been using Alfred for a day now, and I'm already loving it. So if you're a Mac user, go ahead and download it. It makes the Mac "experience" easier, and much better.
